In this lesson, teachers and students learn more about climate emergencies, how to use it as a policy tool for legislative action, and activate their agency by connecting with local representatives on climate action. Students will learn from other young people who have spoken out and rallied support around declaring climate emergencies in meaningful ways. They will also engage by creating posters as a call to action and to connect with others at school or in their larger community.
