Climate Education Presenter - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Ale Gonzales-Montoya, the Philadelphia Climate Education Presenter for the Our Climate Our Future Program, holds a profound dedication to environmental education and community empowerment within their beloved city. Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies and Sustainability from Drexel University in 2023, Ale has consistently contributed to student organizing efforts, championing inclusivity and social justice. 

During their college journey, Ale demonstrated leadership as the Campus Queer Community Organizer and President of the Queer People of Color organization, showcasing their commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all. 

Prior to joining the Our Climate Our Future Program, Ale gained valuable experience in environmental education, working on water pollution curriculum with the Academy of Natural Sciences and teaching Urban agriculture grounded in Latinx history, culture, and community with a local non-profit. 

In their free time, Ale enjoys culinary exploration, spending time at local libraries, and discovering new cafes. Their love for Philadelphia is evident in their active involvement in community initiatives and events.
